SkillZoom is a superior job matching and competency matching tool, providing fast results with unprecedented accuracy.

The fundamental issue in modern e-recruiting lies in attempting to match inconsistent data sets: a recruiter query contains terms or word choices which are not necessarily those which were written by job seekers in their Resumes. Query results are inconsistent and cause further work and delay the job matching process.

SkillZoom supports the vision and goals of the Semantic Web. Substantial gains are attained in e-recruiting by resolving the issue of inconsistent data. With SkillZoom, recruiters and job seekers use the same set of terms from a single shared library: job seekers use it to build their detailed Profile (like a Resume Builder), while recruiters use it to build a detailed list of Required or Preferred competencies for each new job vacancy.

News Glossary

Finding the right combination of job skills by matching your word choices against the word choices used by thousands of job seekers in their individual Resumes is imprecise, ... at best! Further, the practice of using "keyword density" to "score" or "rank" query results is even more questionable. Two excellent candidates for your job opening may have used different keywords than yours, and a keyword density rank would place them far lower than where you'd expect. Simply put, keyword matching against Resumes is not as efficient nor precise, and causes delays to an already laborious screening process. SkillZoom helps you identify superb matches for complex skill combinations in a fraction of the time.

Job seekers may commonly 'tweak' their Resumes to respond to a job ad. They may expand or reduce areas on the Resume, according to relevance, and include keywords from the posted vacancy. This practice creates several 'slightly different' Resume versions for the same person. Job matching should not be a keyword guessing game, nor should you have to be searching several 'tailored' Resume versions, in mutiple folders, for the same person.

Modern e-recruiting technology forces both job seekers and recruiters into a frustrating keyword guessing game. When job seekers submit their Resumes into a Resume database, they cannot know what keywords may be chosen, a month later, in a recruiter search.

Instead of multiple 'tailored' variants of your Resume for the multiple job roles you wish to explore, SkillZoom helps you create a single, comprehensive Profile containing all your job skills and competencies, for all the job roles you wish to explore. With a completed SkillZoom Profile, the only reason you should feel compelled to edit your Profile is when you've added new tools, new experiences, etc. ... You should not have to 're-invent' yourself every time you fill a new job application. Your career is far too important to rely on the whims of few matching keywords.
